I'm sure everyone has heard of the China earthquake by now.
It just saddens me when I see PRC people donating 10cents to the sichuan earthquake donation drive (esp when they stays in ny boarding sch, which means mostly of them are nanyang girls!).

Today I saw this donation box at the end of boarding sch canteen, and mader was like telling me she donated $1.20 only cause she had not much money. So, of course my heart goes out to the poor people who sufferred tremedously from the natural disaster. I went to donate 50 cents as I dont have any other small change. And I feel guily and bad about donating mere 50cents. The girls who are in charge of this donation drive asked me t write the amt that i donated in their book, even though I wish to remain anonymouse but i still have to write downt he amt. So I did. And I was shocked to see the whole row above me donated just 10cents!


For goodness sake, you scholars (not all, of course. Just those irritating ones who donated 10cents only) pocket in a few hundred dollars each month from MOE for free. And when it comes to giving back to the society to help those in need, you contributed 10cents out of that. Although it is still money, however meagre amount it is. But it is so inhumane and asjkrfhfasbfjasbfjhasdbfjkasbnkjasncbnajcbjla to just donate 10cents!!!!!!!! I believe that you can do much better than just forking out 10cents, since you can afford all those billabong, roxy stuff!

And I thought 50cents is alrdy being very stingy alrdy.

Why is our Earth being struck by one catastrope and another? 2008 is indeed a disasterous year.
First the snow storm in China during CNY, then comes the Myanmar cyclone and followed closely by the China earthquake. I have this sense of foreboding that this is due to all the poulltion that man produced in process of urbanization.
